Liberty Hall Polo Club organizes summer arena polo series in Little Washington, Virginia, hosted at the Blue Rock Polo Arena from May through September on the first and third Fridays of each month.
Each polo evening features two games, with start times set by sunset since the arena is not lit. Every match night opens with the Presentation of the Colors, mounted by Liberty Hall youth polo players and fox hunters, setting the tone for an evening that blends sport, tradition, and community.
These matches are an easy and exciting way to enjoy polo up close. Arena polo is fast, skillful, and easy to follow, with horses, teamwork, and quick plays happening right at the rail. Whether you are a lifelong horseman or attending your first game, Blue Rock Polo offers a welcoming way to experience the sport.
Admission is free. Guests are welcome to park in general admission, bring chairs or a blanket, and enjoy lawn seating with friends and family.
For a more established game-day experience, reserved tailgating is available for sponsors and seasonal patrons. These spaces help support the club, strengthen local polo, and create a home base for horse families and community supporters throughout the season.
The Polo Bar and Blue Rock hospitality make the evening easy to enjoy. Guests can purchase drinks on site, order food for delivery to the arena, and continue the evening at the Blue Rock Pub after the match. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
